Dr. Frank Moya is a glaucoma fellowship trained eye surgeon at the Duke Eye Center of Winston Salem. He is on the faculty of Duke University School of Medicine and is a member of Duke's top-ten nationally ranked ophthalmology program.
Dr. Moya specializes in modern Cataract Surgery (femptosecond laser-assisted and standard)and Glaucoma surgery (Lasers, Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS), Filtering Procedures and Glaucoma Drainage Implants).
He trained at Yale University for medical school and his ophthalmology residency.
He completed the rigorous Duke University glaucoma fellowship. He strives to remain on the cutting edge of glaucoma surgery and has been the first to perform many of the emerging glaucoma surgical technologies in Winston-Salem.
Dr. Moya strives to listen to what patients have to say. He wants to ensure that they understand their eye diseases and their treatments and surgeries, even if it takes more time. Dr. Moya states, "My favorite part of treating patients is the opportunity to get to know my patients as individuals."
