Accomplished and admired top clinical and biomedical Geneticist Dr. Suwannarat treats people with inherited disorders or genetic abnormalities, such as birth defects, developmental delay and down syndrome. She was instrumental in establishing the cardiovascular genetics and neurogenetics clinics at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, in addition to participating in regional metabolic, craniofacial and neurofibromatosis clinics. She currently serves as the Chief of the Genetics Department at MAPMG as well as Chair of the KP Mid-Atlantic Institutional Review Board. 

Dr. Suwannarat earned her medical degree in Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She interned at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville and trained in Pediatrics at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. She completed her training and board certification in Clinical Genetics and Clinical Biochemical Genetics at the National Human Genome Research Institute. NHGRI collaborates with the scientific and medical communities to catalyze genomic breakthroughs and supports the robust study and treatment of specific diseases with colleagues at the National Institute of Health.

Pim Suwannarat, MD, attended Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and received her medical degree in 1998. Then, she served her internship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville. Furthermore, she conducted her residency in pediatrics at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children.
