Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Yasser F. Shaheen, who serves patients in Cheshire, Connecticut. 

Dr. Shaheen is a top pain management specialist who sees patients at Comprehensive Pain Clinic, P.C. in Cheshire, Connecticut. 

There, he provides an individualized approach to treating pain, using the latest technologies to get to the root of what is causing one’s discomfort, and creating the solution to alleviate it. The mission of  Comprehensive Pain Clinic, P.C. is “to offer our patients a custom-tailored, state-of-the-art, compassionate experience that works to alleviate their pain!”

A graduate of the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in Egypt, Dr. Shaheen relocated to the United States after his graduation. He participated in pain research studies at Yale University, after which he went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at Yale University in 2003. This was followed by a fellowship in pain management at the world-renowned Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. 

Continuing to expand his vast knowledge, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, whose mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. 

Passionate about the field of pain medicine, Dr. Shaheen has conducted multiple publications on the subject of pain management. He has also held academic and private positions with more than ten years of experience in the field of pain medicine.

Pain management is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. A pain management specialist is a doctor who specializes in pain medicine, focusing on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of pain.
