A native of India, Dr. Rajaram attended Thanjavur Medical College, where he ranked consistently among the top three ranks in the class, and was an honor student in Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from BJ Medical College, and ranked among the top one percent in the national post graduation entrance exam with over 10,000 participants from the whole of India.
Upon relocating to the United States, he received his Master of Science degree from Rush University, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the John H. Stronger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He then went on to complete his fellowship in cardiomyopathy at Boston University Medical Center, and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport. Finally, he completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Temple University Medical Center.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, cardiomyopathy, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
