A native of South Africa, Dr. Coomer completed her medical degree in 1996 at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Southern California. She fulfilled her surgical residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Medical Center.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor attained board-certification in general surgery through the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
