He continued his education by completing a one-year general practice residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he received advanced training in general dentistry, including oral surgery, IV sedation, implant dentistry, endodontics, and special needs dentistry.
Throughout his career, Dr Gripentrog has received many awards and honors, including the Academy of Dentistry for Persons w/ Disabilities – Special Care Dentistry Award, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award, and a Physician Star and Annual MVP Value Leader Award from Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
Moreover, he has participated in many programs to provide care to underserved communities, including Dental Access Days (Evanston), Night Ministry (Chicago), Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center – Mobile Dentistry Program, Give Kids A Smile, and a dental missions trip to Jamaica.
