Dr. Barbara Maddoux is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, DOM practicing in Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Maddoux evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. You fill out an intake form before your first visit. At your first visit she will review your history, symptoms and physical findings The Acupuncture treatment will be specific to your condition and will begin to rebalance the body so that it can heal itself. You will likely experience a reduction in emotional stress, less pain, a better sense of well being, profound relaxation and maybe even better sleep. Iniatially treatments might be recommended every 1-2 weeks and after a time, less frequently, for maintenance. Many people respond very well to acupuncture, and it can support immune and hormone balance, treat physical pain as well as emotional stress including anxiety.
