Graduating with his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1980, he went on to further his training with a residency in general surgery at the University of Louisville Hospital, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Finally, he completed his fellowship in plastic surgery at the Allegheny General Hospital.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
