An exceptional radiation oncologist, Dr. Zia is affiliated with Pardee Radiation Oncology, tending to patients in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

“I enjoy being a radiation oncologist due to being able to incorporate the latest technologies in the treatment of cancer. Academically, he earned his medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine in 2010, and completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2016.

An active member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, Dr. Zia is board-certified in radiation oncology and radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

As for his academic appointments, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Wingate University.

It is one of the three primary specialties – the other two being surgical and medical oncology – involved in the treatment of cancer.
