The program’s mission is to train the next generation of academic neonatologists so that they can function as independent, competent, compassionate, and well-rounded physician educators and physician-scientists.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in 2006. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 2007 and 2009, respectively. This was followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Columbia University – Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in 2012.

Passionate about her profession, Dr. Bishara is board-certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
