Get to know Internist Dr. John Weisenreider, who serves patients in Honesdale and Lords Valley, Pennsylvania.

Specializing in internal medicine, Dr. Weisenreider can be found on staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He is also affiliated with Pike Family Health Center in Lords Valley.

Back in the early days of his academic career, he graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Honduras in 1975. He then went on to perform his internship at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in 1977.

With over five decades of experience, Dr. Weisenreider is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.
