Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Brito is an attentive urologist with special expertise in DaVinci robotic prostatectomy and female incontinence surgery. Committed to treating patients with respect and compassion, he serves as the President of Arizona Urology Specialists with offices throughout the state of Arizona.

Arizona Urology Specialists is the premier provider of diagnostic services, medical treatment, and innovative surgical procedures for urological problems in the Phoenix metro area. With eight convenient locations, the physicians working there offer a unique commitment to personalized care for both men and women. Among his academic / leadership appointments, Dr. Brito serves as the Medical Director of the Scottsdale Healthcare (SHC) Robotic Institute & President-Chief of Staff at SHC Shea. Prior to his current endeavours, he worked at Urology Associates from 1991 until 2009.

A past President of the Arizona Urologic Society, the doctor is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, whose mission is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. 

With parents from Ecuador, South America, Dr. Brito was born in Kansas, which is where his parents emigrated to. Following the completion of high school, he went on to obtain his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas. Wanting to pursue a career in medicine, he earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. Thereafter, he completed his urological and surgical residency at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. 

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands. 

Among his various honors and achievements, Dr. Brito was awarded the Top Docs Award by Phoenix Magazine (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019) and Patients’ Choice Award (2018).

On a more personal note, he has three adult children. He has many interests outside of medicine, including hiking, cycling, running, and playing golf. He has also been involved in many civic events in the Valley and is a member of the Phoenix Thunderbirds.
