A top emergency physician, Dr. Bragan is a board-certified emergency physician in San Antonio, Texas. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights, Baptist Emergency Hospital, and Baptist Neighborhood Hospital – Zarzamora.

Specializing in emergency medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Bragan is experienced in critical care, pneumonia, rapid sequence intubation, laceration repair, cardiac arrest, and trauma.

His acclaimed career began after he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston College in 1973. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in 1978, after which he performed his residency in emergency medicine at Cooper Medical Center in 1979.

A Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Dr. Bragan is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM is one of 24 medical specialty certification boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.
