Get to know Otolaryngologist and Neurotologist Dr. Michael D. Seidman, who serves patients in Celebration, Florida.

Dr. Seidman is an ear and facial nerve surgeon & a skull-based and acoustic neuroma surgeon.   He is also considered one of the top otologic/neurotologic/skull base surgeon in the United States.

Seeing patients of all ages, he practices at AdventHealth Medical Group Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Celebration in Florida. He is also affiliated with the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, University of Central Fla and University of South Fla.

Dr. Seidman believes that we are the CEOs of our own body, we are in charge of our health and happiness, we have choices and we need to make the right ones. He strives to provide each patient with outstanding personalized care.

One of only 11 surgeons in the world who is certified to implant the Envoy Esteem Implant, he is considered an expert on the molecular basis of aging, noise-induced hearing loss, otologic/neurotologic-skull base surgery, all aspects of ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery, tinnitus, herbal therapies, nutrition/antioxidants and their relationship to health, sports and aging and complementary/integrative medicine. 

Academically, Dr. Seidman graduated with a degree in Human Nutrition from the School of Public Health at University of Michigan with his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. After a five-year residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Henry Ford Health System, he completed a fellowship in otologic/neurotologic and skull base surgery at the Ear Research Foundation. 

In 1997, Dr. Seidman founded and became the CEO of Body Language Vitamin Co.,and Peak365Nutrition whose emphasis is to promote health and enhance the lives of everyone through responsible vitamin, mineral, herbal, phytonutrient and enzyme supplementation as well as dietary modifications, exercise, and stress reduction.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is board-certified in otolaryngology and neurotology by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. It is a non-profit organization with the mission of ensuring professional standards in this field since 1924.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer. 

Neurotology or neuro-otology is a subspecialty of otolaryngology—head and neck surgery, also known as ENT medicine. Neurotologists focus on neurological-related and inner ear concerns, including skull base tumors, implantable hearing devices like cochlear implants and bone conduction hearing aids, and balance disorders.

Throughout his line of work, Dr. Seidman has published three books, holds multiple patents, lectures internationally, and is one of only a handful of surgeons in the U.S. credentialed to implant fully implantable hearing devices.

He has been interviewed on Good Morning America, CNN and other national news venues, and has been quoted nationally and internationally in such magazines as “O”, “Shape”, Women’s World, Prevention, Men’s Health, The Wall Street Journal, New York and the London Times. 

Since 1981, he has studied conventional and complementary/integrative methodology to promote health and wellness. Additionally, he is working on humanitarian efforts that include building an ENT hospital in Bangladesh and helping to solve the devastating problem of Rickets in more than 400,000 children.

Among his various accolades, Dr. Seidman has been voted by his peers as a Top Doctor and Best Doctor (top 3 and 4% of America’s physicians) since 1998. He was also recognized by the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, when he was honored with the Clinical Practitioner Excellence Award. 

Outside of practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family. His personal interests include aviation, scuba diving, skiing and snowboarding, hiking, biking, and climbing.
