Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Lauren Mason-Cederberg, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

Dr. Mason-Cederberg is a trusted, New Jersey-based obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in adolescent gynecology and postmenopausal women. She is currently a part of the team of leading providers at Ocean Women’s Health Care Group in Barnegat, New Jersey.

Her hospital affiliation extends to Community Medical Center, having quickly earned the respect of the staff with her knowledge and personality. Dr. Mason-Cederberg has a particular interest in dealing with adolescent young women, making them feel at ease very quickly. At the other end of the spectrum, she has earned the devotion of the older patients who appreciate her kind nature and ready smile.

Ocean Women’s Health Care Group is a practice of the Combined Medical Group of RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Health affiliated with Community Medical Center. The specialty care location in Barnegat offers a full range of gynecologic services for women of all ages – from adolescence through menopause and beyond. In addition to preventative care through annual health screenings, treatment is available for a wide range of gynecological conditions, including infertility, urinary incontinence treatment, pelvic pain and minimally invasive alternatives to surgery. A New Jersey native, Dr. Mason-Cederberg had not left the state until earning her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2006. While there, she also earned a Master of Public Health Degree, after which she performed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in 2011.

In 2019, Dr. Mason-Cederberg attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

On a more personal note, Dr. Mason-Cederberg is a wife and mom of three. She and her husband, when they have a rare night out, love to see the Knicks.
