Get to know Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Scotty Bolding, who serves patients in Rogers, Arkansas.

A seasoned oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Bolding sees patients at PRECiDENT Center for Facial & Dental Surgery in Rogers, Arkansas. He is known globally for his clinical expertise in managing the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ).  Additionally, he Provides patients with advanced digital planning, sleep breathing disorder management, and comprehensive dental implant reconstruction. 

Originally from, Arkansas, his academic pursuits took root at the University of Arkansas, where he cultivated his passion for research, laying the foundation for his illustrious career. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985, he ventured to Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where his commitment to advancing dental science blossomed.

During his tenure at Baylor, Dr. Bolding’s dedication to research was evident, earning him multiple prestigious awards. In 1989, he emerged with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, equipped not only with clinical expertise but also a fervent desire to push the boundaries of dental knowledge.

Continuing his educational odyssey, he embarked on an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center. Here, he not only obtained his Specialty Certification in 1993 but also delved deeper into his research interests. His thirst for knowledge led him to earn a Postdoctoral Masters in Craniofacial Biology in 1992, further cementing his position as a leading authority in his field.

A former Board Examiner and current Diplomate of the Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Bolding’s expertise is internationally recognized. Specializing in orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and dental implants, he has left an indelible mark on the field, with numerous publications to his name.

However, his career took a poignant turn in 2016 when his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. A subsequent stroke in 2017, attributed to obstructive sleep apnea, fueled his commitment to finding solutions for sleep disorder breathing and Alzheimer’s disease. This personal experience catalyzed his mission to merge his surgical expertise with cutting-edge research to combat these debilitating conditions.

At PRECiDENT, his dedication to healthcare innovation shines. Renowned as a healthcare visionary, he has consulted with industry leaders for over 15 years, advocating for improved business processes to enhance patient care quality. His advocacy extends to his role as a speaker, championing the integration of technology into the healthcare landscape. He is also a National Key Opinion Leader in digital smile design, utilizing state-of-the-art software to optimize patient outcomes. His pioneering work in sleep disorder management has garnered recognition, particularly for his development of CPAP Surgery.
