What do you attribute your success to?

  • Growing up, Dr Ashraf\'s mother had arthritis. He always wanted to be able to help her. He lives a healthy lifestyle and likes to \'practice what he preaches\' in helping other lead a healthy life. He really enjoys being able to improve his patient\'s quality of life. Dr Ashraf attributes his success to his passion for the field, loving what he does, family support, discipline, and hard work.

Dr. Ashraf earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados. He then went on to complete his internship at New York Medical College/St.Vincent’s Hospital in New York City, New York, followed by his residency in orthopedic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, New York. Afterwards, he completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. There, Dr. Ashraf served as a team physician for the Miami Marlins, the Miami Hurricanes, and US Sailing. 

Dr. Ashraf is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Ashraf is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). To ensure safe, ethical, and effective practice of orthopedic surgery, the ABOS maintains the highest standards for education, practice, and conduct through examination, certification, and maintenance of certification for the benefit of the public.
