About

A native Houstonian, Dr. Fox graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where he completed his B.A. in English literature with a minor in business foundations. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he met and married his beautiful wife of 17 years, Lindsay. After graduation, the couple relocated to Richmond, Virginia; where Dr. Fox completed his internship, residency, and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the prestigious Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Fox specializes in minimally invasive, targeted treatments. Interventional radiologists use X-Rays, MRIs and other advanced imaging to put catheters in the body in order to treat the source of the disease internally. Many conditions that once required surgery can now have less risk, less pain and fewer invasions when treated by an interventional radiologist.

  • Can you tell me a little about uterine fibroid embolization to treat uterine fibroids?

Uterine Fibroid Embolization is a procedure where the doctor inserts a small catheter through the artery in the groin or wrist into the vessels that supply the fibroids. This allows them to inject tiny particles into the tumor to block the blood supply. The tumors then die and shrink down 40-60% in volume. The procedure is very safe, effective, and most commonly done as an outpatient. Risks such as bleeding and infection are minimal and should be discussed with your doctor in person. You can go to our website www.HoustonFibroids.com for more information if you like. Good luck! READ MORE

  • Can you get rid of uterine fibroids without surgery?

Uterine fibroids can be treated with several minimally invasive procedures including Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). During that procedure the doctor inserts a small catheter into the artery in your groin or wrist and directs it to the fibroids. This allows him/her to inject tiny particles to block the blood supply to the tumors causing them to die and shrink. It is most commonly done as an outpatient procedure. You can go to our website www.HoustonFibroids.com to get more information. Have a great day! READ MORE
