Get to know Urologist Dr. Fadel Elkhairi, who serves patients in Ohio.

A top urologist, Dr. Elkhairi is affiliated with OhioHealth Physician Group, seeing patients at their locations in Columbus, Mount Gilead and Dublin, Ohio. He is active at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Riverside Methodist Hospital, Morrow County Hospital, and courtesy at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Some of the doctor’s areas of specialization include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with urinary obstruction, kidney stones, urinary tract infections, voiding dysfunction, and all general urologic conditions.

Academically, Dr. Elkhairi earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio in 2005. A few years after graduation, he completed an extensive residency in urology at the University of Toledo Medical Center in 2011.

With over a decade of experience in his field, he is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. 

Holding membership status with several medical organizations, Dr. Elkhairi is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American Urological Association.

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
