Founded on a team-based approach, Austin Adult GeriMed covers a host of services and procedures, including: preventive medicine, geriatic medicine, chronic medical conditions (diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and cholesterol, asthma, COPD, arthritis management, and other chronic conditions), weight management, well woman check, simple skin procedures such as Skin Tag reMoval and I&D, knee injections, as well as ADD/ADHD management.

The philosophy of the practice is to provide evidence-based, high quality, compassionate care and to empower patients in self-management and collaborative care. Its mission is to provide high quality, cost effective patient-centered integrated care in a setting that encourages patient and family engagement.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Edoka is qualified to provide preventative medicine, diagnose and treat ailments and injuries, and provide referrals to specialists when appropriate. He strongly believes in personalized care and evidence-based medicine, and prides himself in knowing his patients and involving them in decision-making for their health and well-being. 

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Directors Association, and the Travis County Medical Society.

A 1980 graduate of the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Dr. Edoka relocated to the United States to further his education. Once there, he performed his residency at Meharry Medical College. 

Following his training, he attained board certification in internal medicine and geriatric medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Named a 2020 Top Doctor by Austin Monthly, Dr. Edoka is affiliated with St. David’s Medical Center, Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, and Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.
