A seasoned internist with over 30 years of experience in the field, Dr. Bhowra is the Founder of Surprise Health Center, with practices in both Prescott and Sun City, Arizona. Furthermore, he is a Certified Medical Director and has served in this capacity for a number of companies including hospice. He can also be found on staff at Arrowhead Community Hospital and Thunderbird Samaritan Charter Hospital.
Surprise Health Center offers primary care for children, adolescents and adults. They serve the rapidly growing northwest Valley, providing a wide range of acute, chronic and preventive services. With a special emphasis on patient education, the practice strives to deliver exceptional personalized care.
A native of India, Dr. Bhowra earned his medical degree from Nalanda Medical College in 1981. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine with St. Agnes Healthcare in 1986.
In the past, he served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Banner Thunderbird Samaritan Medical Center, and was Vice Chief of Staff at Valley of the Sun Rehabilitation Hospital. Currently, he is an active member of the American Medical Directors Association.
