P. Langham Gleason, MD, a highly esteemed and board-certified neurosurgeon, is making significant strides in the field of neurological surgery with his extensive expertise in both adult and pediatric complex spinal conditions, brain tumors, and hydrocephalus. Since 2012, Dr. Gleason has been a key member of the South Texas Brain & Spine Center, providing exceptional care to patients from offices in Corpus Christi and Victoria, Texas. He is also affiliated with CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi, where he is committed to delivering top-tier neurological care.

Dr. Gleason’s impressive educational background includes degrees from Columbia College – Columbia University and Harvard Medical School. He honed his skills and knowledge at prestigious institutions, including Rhode Island Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This rigorous training has equipped him with advanced neurosurgical techniques, enabling him to tackle some of the most challenging cases with confidence and precision.

With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Gleason previously operated his practice, Patrick Langham Gleason, MD Neurosurgery, from July 2003 to October 2012. During this time, he focused on spine, brain, and peripheral nerve surgery, with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. His previous roles as staff neurosurgeon and chairman of the Division of Neurosurgery at United Regional Health Care Systems, along with positions at Kell West Regional Medical Center, St. Vincent Hospital, and Allegheny General Hospital, have further solidified his reputation in the field.

Dr. Gleason is also passionate about education and has served in several teaching roles throughout his career. From March 1999 to April 2003, he was a neurosurgery clerkship instructor for medical students and family practice residents at St. Vincent Hospital. His teaching contributions extend to Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hahnemann University Medical School, as well as his involvement in neuroanatomy education at Harvard Medical School from 1991 to 1995.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Gleason is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. His dedication to ongoing education and professional development ensures that he remains at the forefront of advancements in neurosurgery.
