Get to know Neurologist Dr. Christopher L. Wey, who serves patients in Naples, Florida.

Dr. Wey is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases, back and neck discomfort, epilepsy memory disorders, migraines and headaches, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, as well as gait and balance disorders. He is a part of the team at Neuroscience And Spine Associates in Naples, Florida, which he joined in 2006. 

Established in 1996, a group of experienced neurologists and neurosurgeons joined together to establish Neuroscience and Spine Associates. As Florida’s leading practitioners in neurology, neurosurgery, pain management, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and diagnostics, their combined resources and expertise enables them to provide patients with the highest quality, most technologically-advanced medical care.

The doctor is also affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in the area, including Naples Community Hospital, North Collier Hospital, and Physicians Regional Medical Center. A member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Harris County Neurological Society, he is board-certified in adult neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Appalachian State University, Dr. Wey went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, where he graduated in the top third of his class. His postgraduate training encompassed: PGY-1 internal medicine at the University of Florida, PGY-2 neurology at the University of Florida, PGY-3 neurology at Baylor College of Medicine, and PGY-4 neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. 

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

Outside of the office, Dr. Wey enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, weight training, and scuba diving.
