A Thailand native, Dr. Arora relocated to New Delhi, India where he earned his medical degree at the Maulana Azad Medical College in 1987. He went back home to complete two internships at Vachira General Hospital and Lerdsin General Hospital, before relocating to the United States and completing his residency in internal medicine at the Long Island College Hospital. He then went on to complete a fellowship in critical care medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida  and a fellowship in nephrology and hypertension at Columbia University affiliated Harlem Hospital Center in New York.

Holding over three decades of experience, Dr. Arora is board-certified in nephrology, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine that concerns itself with the kidneys. It is the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. Nephrologists have advanced training in treating kidney disease. They diagnose and treat kidney failure, as well as help patients by prescribing medications, offering special diet advice, and coordinating dialysis care or kidney transplantation when it becomes necessary.

On a professional level, Dr. Arora is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Diabetes Association, the American Medical Association, and the Colorado Medical Society.
