Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Silvio C. Travalia, who serves the population of Florida.

Dr. Silvio C. Travalia is a fellowship trained and tri-certified Cardiologist currently practices with NCH Healthcare where he holds expertise in Angioplasty & Pacemaker Surgery.

Dr. Travalia graduated with his medical degree from the University of Padova Medical School in Italy in 1969, giving him over five decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his medical degree he relocated to the United States and completed his internship and internal medicine residency with Genesee Hospital. He then completed his internal medicine residency with the Nassau University Medical Center. Furthering his training he completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship with the University of South Florida.

Dr. Travalia is tri-certified in Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Cardiology is a branch of internal medicine. A cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. The cardiologist will carry out tests and they may perform some procedures, such as heart catheterization, angioplasty or pacemaker insertion.
