What pain medications to take after a root canal?
I usually recommend an nsaid (Ibuprofen, advil, etc.) or tylenol which act as an anti-inflammatory. I recommend this medication mostly because of the length of the procedure which requires an extended length of time for the patient to have their mouth open. READ MORE
Is a root canal necessary before the dental bridge?
A root canal would only be recommended if the depth of the decay or the position of the tooth which is supporting the bridge requires a root canal. READ MORE
Can I use an electric toothbrush with braces?
Absolutely you can use an electric toothbrush. There are special toothbrush heads which aid one in effectively removing the plaque which accumulates around the brackets. I highly recommend their use during and after the removal of the brackets. READ MORE

What is the treatment for periodontitis?
The treatment for periodontitis is usually determined by your practitioner based on the degree of the disease. The initial treatment is the patient's acceptance and understanding of their role in the treatment which most frequently involves a significant improvement and frequency of one's daily home care. You can drink alcohol immediately after the numbness wears off unless you are on antibiotics or were sedated at the time of the procedure.
