Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Cristina Marin, who serves patients in Florida.

Dr. Marin is a dual board certified gastroenterologist with more than a decade of experience. She is a part of the team of professionals at GastroMed, operating out of the Sunset Office in Miami, Florida, and can be found on staff at Coral View Surgery Center. 

GastroMed specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all gastrointestinal and digestive system conditions. The group is comprised of board-certified physicians with extensive experience in comprehensive gastroenterology care, offering in-depth analysis and evaluation to determine the cause of underlying symptoms, followed by patient-centered care tailored to the specific needs of the individual patient. In addition, GastroMed offers screenings for colon cancer and other conditions and diseases affecting the colon, small intestine, and upper gastrointestinal tract. It identifies risk factors for disease so patients can get the preventive care they need to avoid serious issues and enjoy optimal health and wellness.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Marin graduated with her Medical Degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in 2006. She then performed her residency in internal medicine at Emory University and her specialization in gastroenterology at the University of South Florida.

Board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Continuously advancing her efforts, Dr. Marin is an esteemed member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Medical Association.
