Get to know Plastic Surgeon Dr. Daryl Hoffman, who serves patients in California.

Dr. Hoffman is proud to be a board-certified plastic surgeon, among the most capable and talented of all physicians, and is known for his warm approach, modern techniques, and exceptional results. Serving the Palo Alto and Campbell areas in California, he takes great pride in his ability to provide patients with state-of-the-art procedures tailored to their needs in an atmosphere of customer service.

Committed to refining beauty, he uses his more than 20 years of experience in plastic surgery to offer advanced surgical approaches and effective non-surgical options to the women and men he treats. Graduating with his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1985, Dr. Hoffman came to Palo Alto to complete his residency with a 6-year program in both general and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. While managing his busy private practice, he also maintains close ties with the University, having been an adjunct clinical faculty member there for more than 20 years.

Indicating specialized training and demonstrated skill in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, he is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

During Dr. Hoffman’s years in private practice, he has provided thousands of patients with an invaluable boost in personal confidence through procedures such as liposuction, facial plastic surgery, and breast augmentation. “When you have all the tools, you can provide solutions based on what a patient needs rather than what you can do” expressed the doctor. 

In good standing with several professional organizations, he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Santa Clara County Medical Society, the American College of Surgeons (Fellow), and Zedplast – The Stanford Plastic Surgery Alumni Association.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories – reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done. 

An acclaimed surgeon in the areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Hoffman’s articles have been published in the Annals of Plastic Surgery and other medical journals. He was a contributor to a guidebook for breast reconstruction, and has been a speaker at many important industry events and conferences. 

The doctor’s charitable interests include: Breast Cancer Connections (contributor since 2002, medical Advisor group since 2003), Interplast, Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (Sterling level contributor), Vista Center for the Visually Impaired (gold-level contributor), and Hesperian Foundation.
