Allergy and Immunology involves the management of disorders related to the immune system. These conditions range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems. An Allergy and Immunology physician is specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders, including allergic rhinitis, sinus disease, asthma, food allergies, allergic skin disorders and primary immunodeficiency disorders.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. A pediatric specialist is a doctor with extra training and knowledge about one particular area of kids’ health. They differ from specialists who treat adults because children’s growing bodies are very different from fully grown and possibly aging bodies.
Happily married, Dr. Levin and his wife, Rebecca, have two children: Hannah and Avery. The family enjoys sports, cooking, and spending time together.
