Following the completion of his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983, Dr. Sultan went on to further his training. He served his internship at Coney Island Hospital in 1984, his residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in 1986, and his fellowship at SUNY – Downstate Medical Center in 1989.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
