His approach to the dental needs of his patients is to treat their needs with sound professional judgment, open communication, and respect. Whether the seemingly simplest or the most complex treatment, each receives Dr. Perry’s noted attention to every detail.

As a general practitioner with an extensive background and training, he is uniquely qualified to offer numerous options to enhance both the aesthetic and functional dental requirements of his patients. He works to prevent the pain often associated with jaw joint problems, works closely with highly qualified implant surgeons to assure the best possible restorative outcomes, makes every effort to retain patients’ natural teeth whenever possible, as well as uses only the finest dental materials and highly-skilled technicians to assure his patients’ happiness and comfort.

With a thirst for knowledge, Dr. Perry proudly continues to pursue his teaching interests as an Attending Physician in the Dental Residency Training Program at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. He is also a provider and Instructor for Express Smiles, and a Senior Certified Instructor for the International Association for Orthodontics.

In the mid 1970’s, he served as a prosthodontic chairperson at the Monmouth Medical Center of Dentistry in Long Branch, which included operating room privileges. From 1980 to 1984, he served as Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Occlusion at the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, under the chairmanship of Dr. Peter Neff.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Perry completed his undergraduate studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1970 from the Georgetown University School of  Dentistry in Washington, D.C. He then completed his residency training at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch in 1971.

Attributing his success to his willingness to learn, he has completed a number certificates and has held various positions throughout his career including: “Occlusal/Restorative Continuum” (Society for Occlusal Studies at Georgetown University, 1976), “Orthodontics for the General and Pedodontic Dentist” (Institute for Graduate Dentists, New York City, New York, 1979 ), completed Dale Carnegie courses and served as Graduate Assistant (1987), and completed “Instructors Training Institute” (International Association for Orthodontics, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2011).

Bringing the best of what he learns to his patients, Dr. Perry has completed hundreds of hours of professional continuing education and continues to give and participate in numerous dental professional continuing education programs. He remains abreast of current advances in his field through his affiliations with the New Jersey Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry, the International Association of Orthodontics, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

A life-long New York Yankees and New York Giants fan, visits with Dr. Perry are often “extended” if the subject comes up. Often, he can be found early in the morning at the gym attending spinning class. He also enjoys being outside on his bicycle or carefully negotiating his way down a snow-covered mountain trail, both film and digital photography, trying to find time to sit at his easel with his paint brush, as well as travelling locally and abroad. His favorite place to vacation is in Bermuda.
