Educated by some of the best schools in the country, Dr. Agle, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School, now known as the Dell Medical School. He completed his residency at the Brody School Of Medicine, the medical school at East Carolina University, located in Greenville, North Carolina. It is the newest of the four medical schools in North Carolina and a national leader in family medicine. He completed his fellowship with the University Of Louisville Hospital, an academic teaching hospital in the heart of the Louisville metro area. 

Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow in Surgical Oncology and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Southeastern Surgical Congress, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and other professional organizations. 

His work has been published in medical journals including: ‘The correlation of cerebral oximetry with internal carotid artery stump pressures in carotid endarterectomy.’
