Get to know Primary Care Physician Dr. Huu D. Vo, who serves patients in Pomona, California.

Dr. Vo is a primary care physician who is affiliated with HealthCare Partners. Since 1992, HealthCare Partners has been committed to developing innovative models of healthcare delivery that improve patients’ quality of life while containing healthcare costs. The physicians at HealthCare Partners strive daily to bring the benefits of coordinated care to more than 600,000 patients in California, who represent the diversity of cultures, socioeconomic groups, ages, and health statuses in the communities they serve.

Dr. Vo earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. He then went on to complete his internship and residency at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. Vo is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP is an independent and nonprofit organization that was founded in 1993. It is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Dr. Vo is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). The AAFP is the foundation of healthcare in America, providing continuing and comprehensive medical care to patients regardless of gender, age or issue. The AAFP and its affiliate organizations work closely together to advance the specialty of family medicine.

A primary care physician (PCP), like Dr. Vo, is a physician who provides both the first contact for a person with an undiagnosed health concern, as well as continuing care of varied medical conditions – not limited by cause, organ system or diagnosis. Patients say that Dr. Vo is warm, friendly, and compassionate. He is so passionate about health education that he hosts a local television show devoted to healthy lifestyles.

In his spare time, Dr. Vo enjoys volunteering in his community.
