From there, she completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. In order to remain up to date in her field, Dr. Schimp remains a professional member of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Attributing her success to her hard work and supportive collaborators, Dr. Schimp is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The author of chapters in two medical books, as well as numerous articles and case studies on cancer of the female reproductive organs, Dr. Schimp has presented at more than 50 seminars and conferences. She has received the Patient’s Choice Award and America’s Top Oncologists Award for several years, and has been named in the Best Doctors in America and Consumers’ Guide to Top Doctors. On a more personal note, when she is not working, she enjoys doing fitness, playing the piano, reading, going to the theater, and the arts.
