For more than 50 years, UH Parma Medical Center has been serving the health care needs of the residents of Parma, Brooklyn, Seven Hills, North Royalton, and surrounding communities. The 332-bed full-service community hospital employs 2,000 Northeast Ohio residents, including more than 500 physicians trained in more than 30 specialties. This includes experts in emergency medicine, heart and vascular, cancer, bariatric surgery, pain management, and rehabilitation. 

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Tabbaa earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus, Faculty of Medicine in Syria in 1978. He then went on to complete his residency in general surgery at Damascus Hospital in 1983. This was followed by a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Cleveland Clinic in 1986, a residency in anesthesiology at Metrohealth Medical Center in 1991, and a residency in pain medicine/anesthesiology at Metrohealth Medical Center in 1992. 

Following his education, the doctor became board-certified in both pain medicine and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, whose mission is to advance the practice of anesthesiology.  

Alongside his clinical role at University Hospitals, Dr. Tabbaa serves as an Investigator at Cleveland FES Center and as an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University.
