Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Franco Parodi, who serves patients in Warren, Michigan.

Dr. Parodi is a pulmonary disease specialist with over 10 years of experience and a demonstrated history of caring for patients in hospital and private medical practice settings. He is currently a part of the team of professionals at Pulmonary and Medicine Associates in Warren, Michigan.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Parodi graduated with his medical degree from the University of San Martin de Porres Faculty of Medicine in Lima, Peru in 2003. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan in 2008 and 2011, respectively. 

Holding triple board certification, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonology disease, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, Dr. Parodi is affiliated with McLaren Central Michigan and Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital.

Specializing in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, he is skilled in Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), bronchoscopies, healthcare management, clinical research, and internal medicine. 

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.
