Get to know Dentist Dr. Lisa Y. Pina-Awosika, who serves patients in Portage, Indiana.

Dr. Pina-Awosika is a general dentist serving as the owner & operator of Aurora Dental Wellness in Portage, Indiana. Her mission is to uphold a standard of care providing quality dentistry, being compassionate and creating a comfortable, enjoyable dental visit that will keep her patients smiling.

With a mantra to “Smile Well, Live Bright”, Aurora Dental Wellness offers a wide range of dental services, including pediatric dentistry, restorative dentistry, preventive dentistry, gum disease treatment, partials and dentures, oral surgery, night guards, teeth whitening, and emergency care. It is the ultimate goal of the dental practice to bring patient wellness to the forefront of dentistry. 

Growing up in Hammond, Indiana, Dr. Pina-Awosika graduated from Bishop Noll Institute. She then attended Indiana University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Upon embarking on her path towards becoming a dentist, she attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

She has a background in community health and the private office setting giving her an array of dental experience that has led her to starting her own dental practice, Aurora Dental Wellness. She envisions a new way of dentistry; creating better patient health and a better experience. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” expressed Dr. Pina-Awosika.

On a more personal note, Dr. Pina-Awosika lives in Portage with her loving husband and son, and her adorable fur-babies. She enjoys traveling and hopes to one day travel to all the 50 states.
