He is the Chairman of Urology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He has served multiple prior roles at the hospital, including Chief of Pediatric Urology and Director of Urologic Oncology. He was instrumental in the development of a urology resident program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
In regards to his education, Dr. Tobin earned his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1990. He went on to complete extra training in both general surgery and urology at Harvard. During his time at Harvard, Dr. Tobin completed a combined clinical and research fellowship in pediatric urology.
Additionally, Dr. Tobin is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The ABU is organized to encourage study, improve standards, and promote competency in the practice of Urology. The Board evaluates candidates who are licensed to practice medicine and arranges and conducts examinations for the purpose of certification, subspecialty certification, recertification, and ongoing maintenance of certification.
