A recognized leader for plastic surgery for men and women, he emphasizes safety, comfort, and the utmost attention to detail in all of his cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He puts each patient at ease by spending ample time explaining options and procedures and answering any questions they may have. He also personally oversees the patient’s overall care and directs the highly qualified aesthetic staff to insure their individual needs are met before, during, and after the procedure. In doing so, he strives to make it possible for his patients to regain self-confidence and a sense of well-being from looking and feeling their best. 

Among his various roles, Dr. Applebaum is an Appointed Member of the National Medical Advisory for Photomedex Corp, a Certified Instructor for Advanced Techniques in Dermal Fillers, as well as an Editorial Advisor and Editor at iHealthSpot. He is also affiliated with Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Delray Medical Center.

Graduating with honors from Baylor College of Medicine in 1984, he completed his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in hand surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed an additional residency in plastic surgery at the Medical University in Charleston, where he was Chief Resident, and an additional fellowship in aesthetic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. 

Dedicated to providing exceptional care and beautiful outcomes, the doctor is board-certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  He achieved a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in  Hand & Microsurgery.

Throughout his 30+ years line of work, Dr. Applebaum has been a medical consultant for skin care companies, has served on several medical advisory panels, and has participated in pilot studies for cosmetic products. He currently instructs and lectures nationally on advanced injection techniques in neurotoxins and dermal fillers, having earned certifications for Restylane, Botox, and Photomedex.

He was a volunteer for his community’s tattoo removal project.
