A board-certified pulmonologist with a distinguished background as a retired Major of the United States Army, Dr. Salcedo has been serving the Houston community for over three decades. 

Carrying on the legacy of Houston Chest Internists, he provides compassionate quality care to patients with pulmonary diseases, critical care illnesses, and sleep disorders. His dedication to improving their health and well-being helps to further enhance their overall quality of life.

Equipped with a medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, Dr. Salcedo relocated to the United States to further his training. He performed an internship in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and a residency in internal medicine at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Furthering his training, he completed fellowships in pulmonary disease and critical care at Walter Reed Medical Center.

Board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonology disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine, Dr. Salcedo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Having obtained fellowship status, Dr. Salcedo proudly holds prestigious titles as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), and a Fellow of the American Society of Sleep Medicine.
