He also has a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami, and worked as an engineer designing endovascular grafts prior to entering medical school.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body.

With a passion for teaching, he currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Central Florida Medical School and Nova Southeastern Osteopathic Medical School, and previously held the same teaching position at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
