First established in 1901, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is a 665-bed quaternary care, teaching hospital that provides comprehensive health care for the region. Staffed with more than 800 physicians, 3200 employees, and 150 volunteers. Dr. Bustillo earned his medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. The Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is the medical school of Ohio University. Its mission is to emphasize the practice of primary care and train physicians to serve the underserved Appalachian and urban areas of the state. He completed his Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency at Newark Beth Israel/Children’s Hospital of NJ in 2014. In 2013 he was named Med/Peds Resident of the Year. He was also named clinical teaching attending of the year in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Dr. Bustillo is dual board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. Additionally Dr. Bustillo is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
