Dr. Sona Patel-Grimm is an obstetrician-gynecologist in private group practice in Fairfax, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington D.C. She remained at GWU to pursue her Master of Public Health degree focusing on Maternal and Child Health, for medical school, and for her OB/GYN residency training. Dr. Patel-Grimm understands that each patient has unique needs and believes it is a privilege to care for them. Her special interests include: menopause, normal and high risk pregnancy, vaginal surgery, minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, adolescent gynecology, infertility and medical education. Dr. Patel-Grimm is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in Gujarati. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She is actively involved with Inova Fairfax Hospital as a member of their Obstetrical Operations and Cesarean Section Review Committees, and also for Inova’s Women’s Service Line Peer Review Committee. Dr. Patel-Grimm is the Course Director for the University of Virginia’s Benign Gynecology Elective for 4th year medical students as well. Personally, she is married, enjoys traveling, cooking, concerts, and loves all sports, especially volleyball. Finally, she just absolutely loves spending time with her two daughters.
