Get to know Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Anjalee W. Galion, who serves patients throughout the State of California.

Dr. Galion is a prominent figure in the realm of pediatric sleep disorders, her expertise widely acknowledged on a national scale. Presently, she serves as a distinguished member of the medical staff at CHOC Hospital in Orange and CHOC Mission Hospital, where her expertise continues to positively impact countless young lives.

Boasting board certifications in both child neurology and pediatrics, her academic journey began at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she earned her medical degree. She honed her skills further through pediatric residency training at the prestigious University of California San Francisco Fresno program.

Subsequently, her pursuit of excellence led her to complete a pediatric neurology fellowship at UC Irvine, followed by a specialized fellowship in sleep medicine at the renowned UCLA/Cedars Sinai Medical Center Program in Los Angeles.

With a fervent commitment to advancing pediatric sleep medicine, she spearheads pioneering research initiatives at the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Dr. Galion’s groundbreaking fellowship and protocols delve into exploring novel agents aimed at enhancing sleep quality in children with autism, marking her as a leading innovator in the field.

During her tenure as chief resident, Dr. Galion played an integral role in shaping the CHOC child neurology training program. Her active engagement and unwavering dedication earned her the esteemed CHOC Fellow Teaching Award, a testament to her passion for educating pediatric residents and medical students. Fuelled by her enthusiasm for both teaching and child neurology, she assumed the role of Associate Director, Sleep Program, driven by her aspiration to further contribute to the advancement of the field.
