A third-generation dentist, Dr. Dontsova always dreamed of carrying on her family legacy. Now, she lives that dream as a professional general and cosmetic dentist at PDX Smile Design in the heart of Portland, Oregon.
With specialties in general and cosmetic dentistry, the dedicated staff of PDX Smile Design is in the business of restoring and enhancing smiles. Dr. Dontsova and her husband, Dr. Victor Khlevnoy, DDS, lead an experienced team that takes great pride in their work, changing lives for the better with personalized oral health treatment.
In their practice, they are constantly implementing new technologies and procedures to offer their patients the most cutting-edge dental care, with personalized treatment plans. Dr. Dontsova is not only deeply passionate about improving her patients’ smiles, but also their overall quality of life, confidence, and health.
Right after finishing dental school in Odessa, Ukraine, she and her family moved to the United States. She then went on to attend the prestigious Loma Linda University Dental School in California, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1996. Shortly thereafter, she and her husband opened Powell Family Dental Care, PC in Portland, which is now PDX Smile Design.
Throughout her extensive career, Dr. Dontsova has remained dedicated to further educating herself in the field of dentistry. Due to her passion for working with children, she completed a special program in orthodontics in Orange County, California. She also earned her Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Muenster in Germany.
With these credentials, she is uniquely capable of offering both young and older patients alike advanced orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign. Thanks to her in-depth knowledge and experience, she is a Platinum Invisalign Provider.
Likewise, in order to stay up to date in her field, she remains a member of several professional organizations, including the Oregon Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Academy of Clear Aligners, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
