Dr. Nazario earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic in 1982. He completed his internship at Hospital in San Antonio, as well as an additional internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at University District Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Nazario practiced Emergency Medicine for twenty years until 2002. In 2002 he started a private practice as a General Practitioner and started to get involved in the practice of Addiction Medicine. In 2004 he became the Medical Director to Restorative Management Corporation an outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program until 2018 He works as Medical Director of an outpatient intensive rehabilitation program at RECAP (Regional Economic Community Action Program Inc.). Medical Director for Orange County Opioid Overdose Prevention Program. Member of the Orange County Opioid Task Force and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
He has been a successful fighter against the opioid crisis with very good rehabilitation rate due to his dedication to this medical and social problem.
