Dr. Christopher Starr was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1970 where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Pre-professional Studies. He went on to earn his DDS degree at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1974. After dental school, Dr Starr accepted a commission in the United States Navy Dental Corps where he served as a general dentist at the Naval Regional Dental Center, Parris Island, South Carolina. Following his tour of duty, Dr Starr returned to his hometown of Buffalo where he joined the faculty at the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry as a member of the Department of Operative Dentistry serving as a clinical instructor. In 1978, Dr. Starr joined the faculty at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, New York, where he taught Operative Dentistry. In 1979 he married the love of his life and moved to Florida where he joined the faculty of the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. There he taught clinical Operative Dentistry. In 1980 Dr Starr along with his family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, and in 1983 he established his own private practice in Wellington, Florida. Dr. Starr has been dedicated to organized dentistry serving as an officer and president of the Central Palm Beach County Dental Association. For the past twenty five years Dr Starr has served as the Dentist of Record for the Dental Assisting Academy of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 2014, he proudly welcomed his son, Michael, as a partner in his private practice. Dr Starr continues to stay active through his volunteer participation in the annual Florida Mission of Mercy and his twice weekly volunteering at the Dental Clinic at the Caridad Medical Center in Boynton Beach, Florida. This June will mark his 50th anniversary of his graduation from dental school.
