Hormoz Mohtashemi, MD, received his medical degree in 1964 from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services in Tehran, Iran. After moving to The United States, Dr. Mohtashemi interned at Misericordia Fordham Hospital until 1967. He then went on to complete residencies at New York VA Hospital in 1969, Meadowbrook Hospital in 1970 and Montefiore Hospital in 1972. He has since become a member of the American Board of Gastroenterology and does well privately practicing at H. Mohtashemi, MD; in Wayne, New Jersey.
