What does it mean when blood comes out of your ear?
BLOOD COMING OUT OF THE EAR COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS HAVING A SCRATCH IN THE EAR CANAL, WHICH MAY HAVE OCCURRED FROM USING A 'Q-TIP'. IF THIS IS THE PROBLEM, IT MAY HEAL ALL BY ITSELF. IF YOU HAVE PAIN WITH THE BLEEDING, PULL ON YOUR EAR LOBE. IF THAT HURTS, THERE CAN BE AN INFECTION IN THE WALLS OF THE CANAL. THAT REQUIRES EAR DROPS. IF YOU HAVE PAIN THAT'S NOT CAUSED BY PULLING ON YOUR EAR LOBE, IT MAY MEAN THAT YOUR EAR DRUM POPPED A BLOOD VESSEL, OR THE EARDRUM ITSELF POPPED. THIS EAR DRUM PROBLEM IS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH PAIN ALSO, AND SWELLING OR FLUID BEHIND THE EAR DRUM. THAT CONDITION MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH SINUS CONGESTION. ORDINARILY, I'D TELL YOU TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT BY A HEALTH PRACTITIONER WHO CAN INSPECT YOUR EAR AND ASSESS THE ABOVE. BUT BECAUSE OF THE RESTRICTIONS ABOUT STAYING AT HOME, TO AVOID COVID-19, YOU'D HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN GO TO A PLACE WHERE YOU WILL BE PROTECTED. ASSUME EVERYONE HAS COVID-19, WEAR A N-95 OR KN-95 MASK. CLEAN YOUR HANDS WELL. CONTACT THE HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER FIRST AND GO TO AN OFFICE. DO NOT GO TO URGENT CARE CENTER OR ER, BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL MORE LIKELY BE SICK IN THOSE LOCATIONS. Alan R. Vinitsky, M.D. READ MORE
Do blood pressure medications affect male fertility?
Please see this link: http://www.ehealthme.com/ds/lisinopril/infertility/ Regardless of gender, the preferred pre-conception assessment for each prospective parent is analyzing for nutrient deficiencies, toxins, and infections. Lisinopril rarely causes infertility (see the reference). You should have a sperm analysis first before starting the medication, and again along the way. I am concerned about why you have hypertension in the first place. Do you have silver fillings (mercury amalgams) in your mouth? (See Houston http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1751-7176.2011.00489.x/full) Mercury toxicity impairs fertility, lowers zinc and selenium levels, and may contribute to immune dysfunction. Have you lived in a water-damaged environment? Are your B vitamins up to speed? Wish you healthy success in making a lovely baby. READ MORE
