Ronald Krinick, MD, FACS is an Orthopedic Surgeon as well as the founder and chairman of Seaport Orthopedic Associates. He has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the New York University Downtown Hospital since 1987 and is also the Director of Residency Education in Orthopaedic Surgery. Today, Dr. Krinick is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, New York State Medical Society, and New York Sports Society. Dr. Krinick graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1979, completed postgraduate training at Montefiore-Albert Einstein Medical Center in a combined internal, medicine/surgical internship. Additionally, he also completed a 4 year residency in Orthopaedic surgery at New York University, followed by fellowship training in sports medicine-knee and shoulder surgery at New York University. Dr. Krinick also received training at the famous Kerlan-Joe Orthopaedic Center specializing in care of the professional athlete. He has been the recipient of numerous awards over the course of his brilliant career, including 'International Physician of the Year' award from Shaare Tzedek Hospital of Jerusalem in 2005 and 2010, and 'Physician of the Year' from the National Republican Congressional Committee's Physician Advisory Board in 2003.
